Hero HX 250R first ever spyshots

Yes guys you heard it right this is first spyshot of hero HX 250R taken few days earlier , what basically you're seeing is bike with heavy influence of Erik Buell machinery, The rear end in this specific spyshot taken from above appears very similar to Hero's Karizma which is not attractive but actual story may different than pictures, just as we've seen this bike looks gorgeous in Delhi Expo.

We can see horizonally placed shox at rear, bike's tubular frame is known to be very lightweight , Just to get idea bike's whole dry weight is just 149 kg which is surly impressive at least on paper.

As most of you know its 249 cc single cyclinder producing 31 bhp of peak power at 9000 rpm sounds damn short stroke motor. but what makes this Hero interesting is it's duel ignition mapping! just as we know liter class bikes comes with various engine mappings for manageable power delivery.

In case of Hero HX 250R one mode gives bike full 31 bhp on tap power while other eco mode caps it's power at 24 bhp for efficient operation in city riding's.

Hero HX 250R was suppose to launch at present time but it got delay because of it's partner company Erik Buell been bankrupt. For those looking for performance machines in quarter liter segment hold  your money in banks until HX 250R get's out, Cause HX 250R is suppose to be international product which means fit and finish quality should be upto really high standards.

Hero's HX250R launching around festival season of October

Hero's flagship machine HX250R was uncovered in last year's Delhi expo. Machine got overwhelming response from not only Indian's but also from all over world auto enthusiast. This quarter liter machine have its own charm, from muscular tank to under seat exhaust. Hero and EBR have done excellent job to design this machine as unique as possible and surely they have hit the nail. This bike will be the first complete ground up product from EBR and Hero join partnership. Though exact date of launching is not revealed but sources say's bike will be launch at October month in festival season. On the specification sheet bike is absolute blast. while dry weight is just  139 kgs and peak power goes up to 31 bhp and 26NM of peak torque, believe me these figures are overwhelming for any 250 cc single cylinder engine. with such power to weight ratio HX 250 is capable to hit 100kmph mark under 9 seconds with top speed close to 165 kmph. Bike have 2 ignition maps while full power mode give's 31 bhp at very high 9000 rpm, the low power eco mode provides 24 bhp on tap with unknown rpm, probably around 7000 rpm as this engine is short stroke revving characteristics. Engine said to have dual overhead camshaft for precious and lightening revving capabilities to give race engine type capabilities.  This bike have inherited many of its trait's from flagship EBR 1190 RX such as tall tail section.
HX 250's cost is said to have increase from 1.5 lakh to nearby 2 lakh territory. this make's this machine natural rival of RC 390 , Duke 390 , RC 200 and upcoming Honda CBR 250R .
Rear section is inspired by flagship EBR bike

Hero's HX250R sportbike might be more punchy than you thinks

India's Hero MotorCorp’s HX250R is sure already a smart looking machine and given the firm’s tie-in with Erik Buell Racing in America it’s known to have had at least a bit of input from Buell during its design process.
However, we’ve just dug up indications that the bikes might be more of an EBR than it first appeared.
Details of shipments into India last year reveal that several prototype 250cc motorcycles were sent from America to India, and while the data doesn’t reveal the machines’ maker or their final recipient, it does give each bike’s frame number. And they all start with the letters EBR.
While that’s not definite confirmation, the facts that the machines started life in the States and carry the EBR VINs heavily hint that they’ve been made by Erik Buell Racing. All of the bikes are listed as prototypes in their documentation, some as ‘Prototype Test Motorcycles’ others as ‘Working Prototype Models,’ and all are listed as being painted black, as befits a secret prototype. The listings also confirm engine numbers and the bikes’ 250cc capacities.

The chances are high that the bikes in question, which started to be sent from America to India last January, are development models for the recently-launched HX250R, which Hero says has been developed with the help of Erik Buell’s operation, which Hero owns a minor stake in. However, far from simply being tweaked in America, they have actually been created there.
The HX250R’s spec is already impressive, with a high-revving 31hp single using an oversquare 81mm bore and 48.5mm stroke. This bike is expected to get price tag of 1.45 lakh to 1.60 lakh rupee
(ex showroom) in India. Hero is going to launch hx 250 in its homeland(India) around mid 2015, looking at its styling and engine parameters its sure going to make quarter liter segment some intense heat.
